New Fine Amount

I kept it simple to figure out my new fine: I took two months of my salary, converted it from Canadian dollars to euros, and rounded it up to a neat whole number.

At the time of the increase, two months’ income for me was $6,000 CAD, which came out to roughly €3,950.25 and then bumped it up to €4,000.

Since exchange rates love to bounce around, the fine in my home currency will shift—probably not in my favor, which, honestly, makes it even more exciting.

I feel the new fine amount makes it more difficult to have my exposure removed but also will cause a bit of pain financially to have to have it removed and removes any spur of the moment decisions.
